PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Archiving

Archiving a collection can involve a wide range of services. The Collector’s Lab can advise on which archival methods best suit the needs of your collection.

Inventory

Every collection should have a digital inventory, which organizes the property and photographically documents the collection.

Many collections require various levels of conservation and restoration. Conservation stabilizes any existing issues preventing any further damage. Restoration can be invasive and is not advised in all markets. There are a number of factors which dictate when each process should be employed. The Collector’s Lab can advise you on the cost efficiency, market implications, and assist in finding qualified specialists.

Transportation and Storage

Most collections will at some time require transportation and storage. The demands of every collection are different and we can help advise on qualified specialists and facilities to help properly care for your collection.
